Project 10 Pan Product Reviews: Micheal Kors Very Hollywood Perfume/Gloss

Image
Hey everyone long time since I blogged about anything.  I am still on my Project 10 Pan and I had a great idea. I thought it would be cool if I wrote a review on all the products I finish up and how I liked them. This way you guys have a good idea about how I'm doing on project pan and how each item performed. I'm going to try and include as much information as I possibly can. So lets get on with it already! The item I am reviewing today is the Micheal Kors Very Hollywood perfume and lipgloss sample. I got mine from sephora a long time ago. The cost is around 45.00 (this is for the perfume alone) depending on where you buy it. I searched the web and this product is no longer for sale. Although you can buy the perfume rollerball by itself without the gloss. You can purchase this at michealkors.com, amazon.com, walmart.com, and perfumania.com to name a few. Just type it in the google search bar and walla!! The perfume sample was not very big at all. It has a rollerb...

Makeup Rehab 101| My Treatment Plan

Image
Can you guess how many item of makeup and perfume are in my collection? Would you say it is over 100? Less than? Over 300?? Here is a photo to help you... Now what is your guess?? If you guess over 500! Then your right. That number is insane. I'm so disapointed wit myself. Letks check out some of the highlights... In my collection I have: {all numbers are low estimates} 20 concelors 48 blushes 110 lipstick 32 cream eye bases 12 foundations WHY?! I don't need this much makeup. I could use this makeup everyday for probably the next 3 years or more. So I have created a plan for myself to follow starting today and throughout 2014. I have already started using my makeup. I never used to wear makeup often. Maybe twice a week, but if I want to reach my goal I'll have to wear makeup at least 4 times a week. My rules are as follows: 1. Use 50+ items completely 2. Follow rules related to purchasing/ buying (I will explain this to you) 3. Follow all rules before pur...

Laura Geller Makes Foundation for Deeper Skin Tones?

Image
I recently placed an order with QVC for a collection created by Laura Geller. If you don't know who Laura Geller is, she is a makeup artist who really hit the charts with her famous mineral makeup. People fell in love with her balance-n-brighten foundations and blush products; not to mention her outta this world marble lipsticks! The line never offered foundation colors for deeper skintones until now. That's right ladies, it's finally here and it's everything it promises to be. The kit is called Fall into Baked; it contains 6 items. All products are 1.8g, you will receive a blush in Apricot Berry, a Bronze-N-Brighten in medium, a duo marbalized eyeshdaow in Smokey Quartz and Golden Smoke, and a Balance-N-Brighten foundation in Deep, you also receive two brushes (a foundation brush and a double ended eyeshadow/liner brush). The total cost for this kit is $39.98 and does have a split payment option if ordered from QVC. The products are beautifully packaged. They are sm...

Loreal True Match Concelor Crayon

Price: This is a new product by Loreal. It's a concelor in a pencil form. You can find this product for less than $10 at your local drugstore. Try places like Walgreens, Rite Aid, Target, and Walmart. There are not many color selections/choices to choose from. They grouped two colors into one; for instance if you are my skin tone try medium/deep (warm 5/6/7). There are two colors that are lighter than this shade, and one that is darker. Performance: If you have dry skin I would not reccomend this product. It will show your dry patches if you have any, I would suggest to heavily mosturize your skin before use. This is a natural concelor. The coverage is light but buildable. The product is very creamy. You receive a good amount od product ( It comes made like a lipstick, you must twist the bottom to release more product. Once you have used a good amount of the product this comes in handy because you can twist the product down, therefore preventing the product from going everywh...

Fall Makeup Trend 2012: Golden Girl

Image
Fall Makeup Trend:   Golden Girl This look was created using Urban Decay eye shadows in Baked, Half Baked, & Twice Baked. It gives a nice smokey effect if you add some black  or deep brown in the outer v. I really enjoy this look. Its simple and beautiful. I wish more of the Urban Decay palettes had the color Baked. Its a more orange toned gold and works better with my skin tone. But overall I love Urban Decay, the products are wonderful and perform very well on all types of skin. Not to mention their lasting power.

FOTD: Green Eyeshadow Look

Image
This look was created by using the Covergirl quad in Tropical Fusion. I used the light green shade on the inner corner and tear duct. I then used my 88 shimmer palette and picked up a grass green color; placing this color on the mobile lid. I took Texture from Mac and used it in my crease to blend out the harsh lines and add a hint of color. Also I went in with MAC Shale eyeshadow (in the crease as well) to help add depth. I used the Covergirl Tropical Fusion palette and took the deep blue color on the end and I placed this color in my outer v. I lined my eyes with MAC Blacktrack fluid line and add mascara Maybelline Great lash lots of lashes in black. Eye Products:  Urban Decay Primer Potion MAC  Groundwork Paint Pot Covergirl Tropical Fusion Quad 88 Shimmer Palette Mac Blacktrack Fluid Line Maybelline Lots of Lashes Great Lash Mascara     Face Products:  Mary Kay Minerals in Bronze 1 (sorry was wrong in the video) Rimmel P...

Ka'oir Lipstick Review & Rant

Image
Hey everyone, I just recently received a package I ordered from a company named Ka'oir. It was started by Keyshia Dior; a Jamaican model/ video vixen. She previously was affiliated with a company called Secrete Kisses. This company also has similar items for sale. The Ka'oir line contains Vibrant colored lipsticks, lip gloss to match, eyeshadow, and nail polish. This company is fairly new but hitting the mainstream fast. People all over are tweeting Ka'oir and face booking. It's perfect for this seasons trend. VIBRANT/ BOLD COLORS. I ordered four lipsticks from the line; (as appears from L-R) Rude Gir l, Golden Goddess , Jamaica , Ooh La La. PROS : They apply on very smoothly, and the colors are true. You can apply very little for a sheer look or more layers to make it opaque. I would suggest exfoliating your lips with a scrub before use, and also applying a sheer base of chap stick. The lipsticks can be somewhat drying and will definitely catch on dry chapped ...

Friday Night Makeup

Image
Hi guys, I wanted show you my makeup look I created for a night out on the town. Mister surprised me and took me to my first Poetry Slam. It was so fun and exciting. The place was beautiful and they talent out of this world. If you have never been and get a chance to check one out; do it. you wont regret it a bit. But anyhoo on to the MAKEUP! I did this look using my Urban Decay Naked Palette . I started by using UDPP to prime my eyelids. Then with a clean 239 brush from Sigma I applied Gunmetal all over the lid. I took Texture from Mac to blend out my harsh edges. After that with a 217 brush from Sigma I applied Smog to the crease to add a little depth. I used my Mac Mineralized Skin Finish Natural as my highlight. Optional: I added some Kiss lashes to give me more length. I didn't want the dark colors to take over my own lashes. That's all for the eyes! I love simple looks, don't you. I told you I'm no makeup artist. I'm just learning as I ...
