Love & Hip Hop ATL Season 2 {LHHATL}
Ok so if you havent seen Season One of LHHATL then here's a little bit of info to get you caught up. This is a reality show about a group of hip hop artisit and those that they are friends with in the industry or people they have/are dating. This show has been very popular on television. It has it all; drama, love, sex, money, power, not to mention cat fights! So lets begin to talk about Season 2...
Lil Scrappy, Momma Dee, Erica and Shay:
So Erica is the girlfriend of Lil Scrappy and the mother of his 8 year old daughter Emani. This couple has been on a "make up to break up" rollercoaster. This season the two got engaged. But this was short lived. After a family dinner with Momma Dee (Scrappy's mother) and Erica's mother things went ary. Erica was fuming when she felt that Scrappy did not stand up for her and their relationship. She wanted him to tell his mother to butt out of thier relationship; instead he felt that Momma Dee will be Momma Dee and Erica should just learn to adjust. Words were thrown and tables shook! It was a site to see. Erica tells Scrappy to leave and "Just get out". He steps out with Momma Dee and Erica speeds off in her car. Momma Dee hates Erica and has said so before. She wants to see him with Shay. Momma Dee even set her son up at the beggining of the season. She sent to his studio so they could speak. After the converstaion Scrappy was left feeling guilty, which may have lead to him seeing more of Shay in the future. But was there more sex between these two? YES
Later after the dinner fight with Erica, we see Scrappy with his other lover Shay. This woman he's been with off and on. She was even on Flavor of Love. But this turns bad soon as well when Shay tells Scrappy she has been in love with and feels strung along. The two of them argue and soon Scrappy is outside the home alone, Shay claiming to be done with Scrappy for good. But is that truly the end? Why did Scrappy go out and date other women while engaged to Erica? Did he really think she wouldnt find out? Can he be faithful? Will Scrappy defend his love for Erica against Momma Dee's wishes?
Later in the season Scrappy fails one of his drug tests given by his parol officer. He calls Erica and his mother to go with him to recieve the news from his lawyer. He is told that this could mean jail time if Scrappy doesnt comply with the judges orders to attend drug rehab. He goes to speak with a therapist who tells him that the chioces he makes may have something to do with his mothers influence in his life. They suggest drug rehab at a monitored factilty.
He decieds to go for it, telling Erica he wants her to consider marriage again while he's away. Erica breaks down in tears when hearing this. She says it because he finally admitted that she should not have been put through all that she has endured from him, including his mothers behavior. At the reunion we see that scrappy and Erica are not together or thinking of dating any time soon. Erica breaks down and cries, arms shaking. I think she still loves him but is afraid of him choosing someone or something ahead of her. Why must men always do this, and we women stay around until we can take no more. Momma Dee is still unaccpeting of Erica. She tells Mona (executive producer) "I don't have to like nothing if I don't want to!" This to me is so sad. Give the girl a break already, if your son and granddaughter are happy who are you to play God in their lives?? A real queen would know that and not charge at people full force with words sharp as a sword and fists flying. How Momma Dee acting at Scrappys coming home party was a mess. As for Shay...girl bye. I don't want to see your tired behind running after another womans man. She must have had something he wanted for him to buy her a house, but it didn't last long with him telling all of America how much he loves Erica on the reunion show. Shay get a new man, I think your just saying that to look like you have moved on. Girl take your house, car, and weave and bounce out. Can you say Popcorn H**!
Mimi, Steve J, and Joseline:
Mimi is Stevie J's ex and the mother of his 3 year old daughter Eva. Mimi and Stevie J broke up after living together at the start of the season. Supposedly Mimi moved in to protect Eva from Joseline who was in and out of Stevie J's home. It seemed as if Mimi believed that she and Steve were getting back together until one night Joseline walked into the house unannounced and called Mimi a maid. Mimi slaps Stevie, calling him names for not correcting Joseline for her "disrespect". They had to cut the cameras at one point. A while later Mimi packs up and walks out on Stevie. He later tells her she cant hide from him, and that he will find her. But Mimi was determined to rid herself of Stevie J. She starts by coving up a tatto she and Stevie share. Then she introduces her new man named Nikko. He seems to be very simular to Steve J; same type of personality, musical connections, and so on. Everyone sees this but Mimi. It even causes a fight between her and K. Michelle at a video shoot of Nikko's where he features Erica in his video. Eventually the girls make nice again, but not until she and Nikko break up. This happens after the video relase party for Nikko's video. Stevie J shows up dressed in white and oddly enough Mimi is also dressed in white. Things quickly go aray when Stevie down plays a gift (a watch) Nikko purchased for Mimi. Telling Nikko "A real man buys real things, let me show you how a real man doea it". Stevie gives Mimi a car! Nikko flips out saying for Mimi to leave and go back to Stevie.
After the party, Mimi stops by to see Nikko and talk about what happened. Nikko tells her he thinks she and Stevie are plotting against him. Mimi trys to tell him this is not true but things blow up when he tells he she need to crawl back to Stevie. The two end up nose to nose yelling ridiculous bs at each other; like her calling him a clown and so on. Mimi soon tells Stevie of the break up.
Meanwhile Stevie and Joseline have still been dating. Joseline is seen scraming and even physically attacking a new artist named Che Mack. Che Mack is a wild card. She is built like Joseline; big butt, nice face, light in the waiste. We can tell Stevie wants to "smash" early on but so does Joseline. Stevie J helps Che Mack out after her house was broken into and buys her a very big HD TV. At a party for Joseline, Stevie J runs into Che Mack who is working at the party as a server. Joseline is disgusted that the two are even speaking and makes it clear that she doesnt "mess with the help". Che Mack is obviously drunk and she continues to slur and ask Stevie to work with her. Joseline tells her that will never happen, and ends the conversation. On another day much later, Stevie has convinced Joseline to allow him to work with Che Mack. But a bombshell is dropped when Che Mack slipps and tells Joseline that Stevie J brought her the TV. Joseline is shocked and we can see how she desperatly tries to hold her composure ay the table.
Stevie J and Joseline prepare to go to Purto Rico (Joseline's homeland) to shoot her music video. Joseline gives Stevie J a wad of cash for her half of the video and two tickets to Purto Rico. Stevie later takes Mimi a gift; he said earlier in his confessional that the music video would be cheap but sstill good quality and that he can still give Mimi some cash to make her smile. Thinking that he can please two women at once, Stevie gives Mimi a new purse with the money stuffed inside. Mimi however is weary of accepting the gift. The car that Stevie gave her she later returned after he asked for sex on a number of occasions. He tells her "no strings attached" and she accepts. Mimi makes an appointment to see a plastic surgen and takes Erica with her. She chooses to have her breast done and to use "Stevies" money to do it. As Joseline and Stevie land in Purto Rico; Mimi is prepped for surgery.
In Purto Rico Joseline tells Stevie of her childhood, breaking down in tears from the memories. He assures her she can trust him, and that he is now her family. They attend the video shoot, where Joseline is in a skimpy bathing suite and on the beach. Later Joseline gives Stevie a engament ring, and asked him to be her life partner. I can't believe that Stevie J would give Mimi a ring right after Joseline asked to marry him. This man obviously does NOT love her. He loves what she brings him, from money to power and even that cookie she has been serving him on a platter. I feel bad for the girl because she believes he will change. To be continued.....
